Junior Golf Academy Overview
Junior Golf is the future of golf, and over the years, I have been privileged to work with many great young golfers. The Performance Academy is targeted at developing young golfers to become the golfer that they want to be. Within each session, juniors will experience golf training integrated with a competitive atmosphere. They will learn how to focus, assess, and execute.
Our instruction is fundamental-based that builds a lasting foundation of knowledge for every aspect of the game of golf. Our students will learn golf fundamentals that will instill an understanding of their own golf game and how to self-sufficiently improve their game. This program will provide group coaching with a COMPETITIVE atmosphere.

- Players Elite Program
- Legends Select Program
Rookies Competitive Program (RCP)
The Rookies Competitive Program is the introductory level of GPA and provides the building blocks for a lasting golf game. Young athletes are taught the fundamental skills on a constant basis, skills such as grip, setup, ball position, alignment, etc. Being apart of this program will give young golfers an opportunity to socialize and make golf buddies. The competitive spirit is infused into each session creating a fun “game-like” atmosphere. With competitions and games, young golfers learn the fundamentals by osmosis but also instill a foundation to perform under pressure.
Each coaching session will have four main goals:
- Have Fun.
- Grow students’ knowledge of golf fundamentals.
- Practice and rehearse the fundamentals to build a well-rounded, consistent golf game.
- To interact and COMPETE with other like-minded athletes and families.
Coaching sessions will cover full-swing and short-game and will incorporate all areas of the game:
- Full Swing
- Pitch Shots
- Bunker Play
- Course Management
- Golf Etiquette
- Rules of Golf
- Golf fitness
Students will be grouped together based on ability level and age.
Players Elite Program (PEP)
Players Elite Program is offered to the novice level golfer that has 1-3 years of experience in golf. The golfer in this program has minimal tournament experience and is aspiring to become more competitive in tournaments.
The definition of “Coaching”: In 1830, the word “coach” became a slang reference for a tutor who “carries” a student through an exam, and in 1861 the term was further applied to the athletic world. GPA Coaches embrace this concept of a coach “carrying” a golfer across the skill development process. Coaches do not simply provide players with a map as to how to get to their ultimate destination, but better yet, “carry” them, assist them, guide them, and support them as they embark on the journey.
Maturing into a champion both on and off the course is an exciting challenge for aspiring young athletes and their families. It takes considerable commitment, support, feedback and training. A professional coaching influence combined with effective training and practice is paramount in this process. The Committed Elite Program has a consistent approach to developing and nurturing adolescents so that they will mature into the finest golfers and most outstanding people possible. This specialized program presents committed athletes with an opportunity to realize their goals in both sport and life.
The program is athlete and parent driven in that the activities and the program are steered by the players and their parents. The program is extremely successful and it yields results. Participating athletes experience tremendous growth as young adults and have achieved many outstanding feats as competitive golfers. The GPA prepares participants for life as student-athletes at the university level.
This program offers structured coaching, practice, and training with a focus on core fundamentals; swing technique, fitness, nutrition, short game proficiency, course management and mental skills. Each coaching session will include a combine score and/or competition. (Trackman combine or short game combine). Combine scores will be reassessed and evaluated bi-weekly for each student.
Legends Elite Program (LEP)
Legends Elite Program (PEP) is offered as our highest-level program to provide select, high-performance golfers with a comprehensive and systematic approach to training, competing, skill improvement and personal development. Both dedicated young men and women are welcome to participate.
